Club Boats

A member may use a club boat for racing or social sailing. On Saturday afternoons and Sundays, our Cadets, and RYA training take priority – for Saturday afternoons please apply to Cadet Captain Andy Harris <andy.harris4@outlook.com>   or Sunday bookings to Chief Dinghy Instructor Eric Finlayson <finlaysone2@aol.com>

Our new design National 18 Odyssey  can be booked with N18 Class Captain Michael Vasey <mndvasey@gmail.com> or  07860 214 489).  In the case of Odyssey only, we ask for a donation of £10 for a social sail and £20 if entering a race, which helps fund her upkeep, insurance, and river licence.

After sailing members are requested to sign off in the Club Boat book in the Changing Room undercroft.  If a problem needs urgent attention please email club bosun Paul Jamieson: <p.jamieson@btinternet.com>

Club boats may only be used by members. Patrol boats are normally only active during club racing and training. Members are fully responsible to decide whether or not to sail, having regard to all the circumstances. Under 18s may only sail if accompanied by a responsible adult. Members should have a minimum of 12 month’s experience or equivalent of sailing on Tamesis Reach plus a minimum qualification of RYA Level 2 or equivalent.
